2.) Title: State Nominating Convention location choice
3.) Text of Proposal:
Choose one of the following:
A. The Royal Gorge Green Party would like to host the state
nominating convention at the Rialto Theater from 9am to 5
pm on May 1st 2010. The Rialto is located at 209 W. Main, Florence, CO.
B. The Adams-Jefferson Greens would like to host the meeting at the
Evergreen
School of music in Evergreen, CO at this same time and date. The School is
located at
29713 Troutdale Scenic Drive #1, Evergreen, CO
C. Neither of the above.
4.) Background:
Florence would be a new site for the GPCO to meet.
The Evergreen site has hosted other Green events before.
5.) Justification/Goals: We need to have an in person nominating convention
this year. The last two conventions have been by telephone in 2009 and in
Carbondale in 2008. It’s time for an eastern slope meeting.
6.) Pros: Both facilities are a good meeting place with adequate room and
facilities.
Lunch is available within walking distance as this is in historic downtown
Florence. Lunch will be available at Evergreen.
