What makes Green politics different is a holistic, ecological outlook that recognizes the interconnection of all life and social processes, and that neither social nor environmental problems can be solved in isolation from each other. We pursue a broad conception of politics that embraces electoral efforts, the development of alternative institutions, education for empowerment, nonviolent direct action, and ecological lifestyles. Active Green Tanya Ishikawa Elected to City Council
Tanya Ishikawa won a seat on the Federal Heights City Council in the Nov. 1 election with 67.5 percent of the vote. She earned 206 votes, compared to the other candidate in the race who had 99 votes, according to unofficial final election results from Adams County. Tanya Ishikawa, a registered Green from the Adams-Jefferson (County) Greens, appeared to have won her Ward 1 seat on Federal Heights City Council, according to unofficial results from Adams County as of 8:11 p.m. on election night, Tuesday, Nov. 1.
