2. TITLE:
Green Party of Colorado Appointment to GPUS National Representative – June 2008
3. FULL PROPOSAL:
Tom Kelly is hereby appointed to fill a vacancy that has arisen as one of
Colorado’s three representatives to the GPUS national committee.
4. BACKGROUND:
Romney Philpott has resigned as one of Colorado’s three representatives to
the GPUS national committee. Romney was selected at the 2007 GPOC annual
meeting in Carbondale. Tom Kelly, Arapahoe Greens, has volunteered to serve
the one year remaining in the term of this position.
Our other representatives are Claire Ryder, Denver, and Sandy Lemberg, Fort
Collins.
5. JUSTIFICATION/GOALS:
Ensure that Colorado have its full representation at the national party level.
6. PROS:
It is important the Colorado have all the representation it is permitted on the GPUS national committee. Tom Kelly has served in this capacity before and is informed as to the issues before the national committee.
